Castle Rock Miniature Horse Farm is located in west-central Florida, about an hour from the Sarasota/Bradenton area or I-75.
Mare care is negotiable, but standard rates are $2 a day for mare or $4 a day mare + foal. It is suggested that you insure your mare during her time away from your farm, or you will be asked to sign a release of liability. We work with 2 vets, one an Equine Specialist, and both are on call 24/7, just a few miles from the farm. We can pasture or hand breed your mare. Spotty is safe with foals of any age, and lovingly watches over them in his paddock.
Mares must arrive with a clean culture, current coggins and health certificate and be up to date on all shots (including West Nile Virus) and dewormings.
Mare can will be ultrasounded in foal, with Vet certification of pregnancy, at mare owner's expense of $50.00. This will be an internal ultrasound with pictures of the foal.
